Personal Data Protection Information Text

This Information Text on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK Information Text”) has been prepared in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and primarily aims to explain:

1. What types of data are collected through the website www.ar-ma.com.tr, how your collected data are used, and with whom they may be shared,

2. What rights you have over the data processed by www.ar-ma.com.tr and how you may exercise these rights,

3. How you may change your positive or negative preferences regarding receiving electronic commercial messages.

In order to provide better service to our Members, to manage and complete your order processes, to ensure communication with you, to inform you about our products, services, campaigns and promotions, to better understand your shopping preferences, to perform trend and statistical analyses, and to strengthen the security of our Website, we process certain data that directly or indirectly identify you, such as your name, surname, e-mail address, phone number, gender, date of birth, T.R. ID number, tax ID number, personal interests, billing and delivery addresses, and, if you connect via social media accounts, the information shared through those channels as permitted.

In addition to this data, we also collect and process non-personal statistical data such as frequency and duration of site visits, time of orders, IP address at the time of order, statistics of visited product pages and ordered products, in order to analyze and understand visitor behavior and preferences.

We process and store these personal data only for the purposes stated in this KVKK Information Text, ensuring appropriate data security measures, either based on your explicit consent, when directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract with you, or where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Certain data stored in our database may also be used, in compliance with applicable legal regulations, for periodic campaign activities, the design of special promotional campaigns for customer profiles, and customer segmentation activities aimed at preventing unwanted e-mails.

If you use a credit card to pay for an order, you accept that your card information (such as card number, expiration date, CVV2 code, etc.) may be shared with banks. However, credit and/or debit card details used during the order process are never stored in our systems.

If you provide your contact information to our store staff to create a customer record, your personal data may be collected verbally during your interaction. Personal data collected in this process may be used to verify your contact details, and with your explicit consent, to create and track necessary records in our systems for marketing purposes, tailored campaigns and promotions, and to facilitate return and exchange processes.

www.ar-ma.com.tr reserves the right to retain all records belonging to terminated membership accounts in anonymized form. Once anonymized, data no longer identify any individual and are therefore not considered personal data. Members cannot claim any rights or compensation concerning anonymized records.

We may share your personal data with third parties (such as cargo, delivery, call center, database service providers) with whom we cooperate to provide our services, and with public authorities when required by law. www.ar-ma.com.tr may also share your personal data and browsing information such as traffic data with legally authorized public institutions and organizations for your security and to fulfill www.ar-ma.com.tr’s legal obligations. However, except for these purposes and legal requirements, we will never use or share your personal data for commercial purposes.

www.ar-ma.com.tr is legally obliged to store certain Member information. However, you always have the right to be informed about your personal data, to access them, to request their correction or deletion, and to inquire whether they are used in line with their purposes.

In cases where www.ar-ma.com.tr processes your personal data as a data controller, you may, under Article 11 of the KVKK, submit a written application to the contact address stated on our communication page or send an e-mail to www.ar-ma.com.tr using your registered electronic mail (KEP) address, secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or the e-mail address you provided during registration. You may request information regarding:

1. Whether your personal data are processed,

2. Information regarding the data processing activities,

3. The purposes of processing your personal data,

4. The third parties to whom your personal data are transferred within or outside the country,

5. Correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,

6. Deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons for processing no longer exist or the Company has no legal basis or legitimate interest to process them,

7. Assurance that the third parties authorized by the Company respect your rights under this section,

8. Objection to any adverse outcome resulting from automated data processing, and

9. Compensation for damages if you suffer harm due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

You can always update your membership and communication preferences by logging into the system.

www.ar-ma.com.tr takes necessary measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal data or their loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. It undertakes to keep your personal data confidential and to take all necessary physical, technical, and administrative measures to ensure data security. In the event of attacks against the Site or system leading to damage or unauthorized access to personal data, www.ar-ma.com.tr will immediately inform you and the Personal Data Protection Authority and take the necessary measures.

www.ar-ma.com.tr reserves the right to amend this KVKK Information Text at any time. Such amendments shall become effective immediately upon their publication on the Site, and you will be duly informed of such updates.
